1 September 2023 will go down in the annals of my professional journey as the start of the final chapter of my teaching career.
I took a leap of faith and agreed to a teaching offer in Abu Dhabi, UAE as English Language Arts high school teacher. My first experience in the classroom in five years!
The first month was smooth sailing and I now seem to have found my rhythm in this unfamiliar context of the Canadian Alberta curriculum. The UAE in itself is unfamiliar terrain, but how I enjoy being back in a classroom of vibrant, enthusiastic and at times challenging adolescents.
